MARC CHINI
Executive Vice President, Human Resources, NBC Universal

Marc A. Chini was named NBC Universal’s executive vice president of Human Resources in February 2007. Chini is a GE officer and has been with the company for more than 20 years. He reports directly to Jeff Zucker, president and chief executive officer of NBC Universal.

Chini began his career at McGraw-Edison in a Human Resources supervisory capacity in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In early 1983, he joined the insurance and investment company Liberty Life in Greenville, South Carolina, as the manager of Compensation & Benefits.

In April 1984, he joined GE Medical Systems at the Magnetic Resonance Plant start-up in Florence, South Carolina. After assignments with Aircraft Engines and Aerospace, he joined GE Appliances in Louisville, Kentucky in 1989. At Appliances, he held assignments in Manufacturing and Worldwide Marketing & Product Management prior to being named manager of Human Resources for the Sales, Service and Marketing functions.

In January 1994, he moved to GE Plastics as manager of Human Resources for the Americas Operations and, in 1996, moved to ED&C in Plainville, Connecticut, as senior manager of Human Resources. In November 1998, he was named an officer of General Electric Company and was assigned to the position of vice president, Human Resources for GE Transportation. In August 2005 he became the vice president of Human Resources for the newly formed GE Infrastructure businesses.

Chini is a graduate of West Virginia University, where he earned a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration and a master’s of science degree in industrial relations.
