Vice President, Communications, Oxygen Media

Julie Rothman serves as Vice President, Communications for Oxygen Media, a position she has held since June 2008.  She is responsible for the overall communications strategy for the network, internal communications and talent relations.   Under her purview, the Network is experiencing robust coverage in the media – recent series include the critically-acclaimed “The Glee Project,” a reality competition series spinoff and “The World According to Paris” featuring socialite and entrepreneur Paris Hilton as well as perennial favorite “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.”



Rothman joined Oxygen from NBC where she served as Vice President, Entertainment Publicity overseeing press activities for all east coast series and specials.  She developed and implemented series launch campaigns for the critically lauded and Emmy® award winning “30 Rock,” the venerable “Law and Order” brand, the inaugural season of “Celebrity Apprentice,“ as well as iconic holiday specials including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Tree Lighting in Rockefeller Center.



She joined NBC in 2006 from CNBC where she served as Director of Public Relations.  While at the business network, she worked on the channel’s expanding prime time lineup and with a variety of high profile personalities including:  Dennis Miller, John McEnroe, Tina Brown, Donny Deutsch and with money manager Jim Cramer and the breakout hit program “Mad Money.”   In addition, she worked on several award-winning business news documentaries.



Prior to CNBC, Rothman worked at FOX as Director, Publicity and Corporate Communications, overseeing publicity for east coast based series and specials, as well as handling event publicity for national award shows.



Earlier in her career, she worked at VH1 and Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite.
