Rob Spodek
SVP/CFO, Syfy
In his role, Spodek is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of Syfy and Chiller as well as Syfy Ventures and other related projects, while partnering with senior management on all key strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining Syfy and Chiller, Spodek served as the Senior Vice President for the NBC Universal Corporate Finance Group, where he led all financial planning, analysis and reporting activities for the NBCU P&L. Among his many accomplishments, he was an integral member of the core financial team, which oversaw the transition of NBCU from GE to Comcast.
Before that, Spodek was Vice President and CFO of MSNBC, where he was responsible for all aspects of the news network’s financial performance.
Spodek began his NBCU career in 1998 as Manager of Finance at CNBC. Following that, he participated in the prestigious GE Experienced Financial Leadership Program, while also serving as the Finance Director for the NBCU Business Development team.
Before joining NBCU, Spodek worked at both Comcast Corporation and Deloitte & Touche LLP. He received his B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
