Kevin MacLellan
President, International Television
Before assuming this position, and prior to Comcast Corporation’s acquisition of NBC Universal in January 2011, MacLellan served as President, Comcast International Media Group (CIMG) & Comcast Entertainment Studios (CES).
As President CIMG, MacLellan oversaw Comcast’s international entertainment properties which included E! Entertainment Television, The Style Network, Versus, G4 and Golf Channel, as well as all international new media businesses, including multiple E! Online and E! mobile channels. Under his leadership Comcast increased their international channel subscribers from 17million to over 150million and increased syndication revenue by over 500%.
MacLellan’s role also included oversight of Comcast Entertainment Studios (CES), a division created to develop and produce programs for Comcast channels and third party outlets domestically and internationally. As President, CES, he oversaw the production of such popular franchises as The E! True Hollywood Story, The Soup, The Fashion Police and Live from the Red Carpet.
Prior to joining Comcast Corporation in 2001 as Senior Vice President, International, MacLellan was Vice President, International Television Networks at Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) in London, responsible for managing the company’s channel investments in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, negotiating carriage agreements and partnerships, as well as overseeing strategic and business development. Before that, he was Director of Programming for Home Box Office (International) in New York and in Eastern Europe. Additionally, he worked in production at a number of leading cable networks in the US, including HBO, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon.
