Michael Rubin is Vice President, Long-Form Programming and Production and oversees all MSNBC documentaries.



Emmy-awarding winning Producer Michael Rubin joined MSNBC in June 2006.  Previously he was an executive producer at CBS News, working on a variety of prime-time programs. Before that, he worked as a producer on "West 57th.”  While at CBS News, he was nominated for eight Emmys and won one.  Prior to that, Rubin spent 10 years working in local TV in New York, Detroit, and Columbus, Ohio.  In those markets, he worked on talk shows and news magazines and won seven Emmys.



Rubin received a Masters in Fine Arts from New York University.  He currently lives in New York City with his wife and 2 daughters.
