Yvette Miley

Vice President and Executive Editor, MSNBC

Yvette Miley is Executive Editor of MSNBC, and was appointed to this position in April of 2009. In this role, Miley oversees the editorial content of MSNBC’s Dayside programming.



Miley began with NBC Universal 21 years ago, and most recently served as Vice President of News at NBC’s Owned and Operated station in Miami, WTVJ. In that role, she oversaw all local and national news coverage, including the coverage of Hurricane Andrew and Hurricane Wilma. Prior to her time in Miami, Miley was Vice President and News Director at WVTM in Birmingham.



Miley has received more than 10 Emmy, Murrow, Dupont, and Peabody Awards. In 2007, the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce named her “Corporate Executive of the Year”. She is a graduate of the University of Florida and a native of Riviera Beach, Florida.
