Clendenin joined CNBC from Aeropostale Inc., where he was Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing, leading all marketing efforts for two retail brands, Aeropostale and JimmyZ, including all in-store and external communications.
Previously, Clendenin was an independent consultant managing a portfolio of clients in the retail, media and advertising agencies, responsible for delivering brand strategies, launching new products and participating in new business development. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Old Navy, developing strategic marketing plans. He was also Vice President, Marketing at ESPN, developing the positioning of the ESPN brand extensions, including ESPN magazine, ESPN.com, ESPN Radio and ESPN Zone restaurants. Before joining ESPN, Clendenin worked for Partners & Shevack, Young & Rubicam and the National Association of Securities Dealers.
Clendenin has a Bachelor's degree in Science and Business Economics from Alfred University.
