Richard Cerussi

President and General Manager of NBC Bay Area, NBC Owned Television Stations

Richard Cerussi is President and General Manager of NBC Bay Area / KNTV, the NBC-owned station in the San Francisco Bay area.


Cerussi, a long-time Bay Area business leader with more than 35 years of media experience, joined NBC Bay Area in 2007.  Under his leadership, the station has launched one of the largest investigative teams in the country, created new local news programming and introduced marketing products designed to help local companies achieve their goals.


Prior to leading NBC Bay Area, Cerussi was the Executive Vice President of Sales for the NBCUniversal and Telemundo station groups, based in New York.  In this capacity, he helped to modernize the sales processes and improve inventory management at the company’s television stations across the country.


Cerussi began his NBCUniversal career at KNTV in 2000, when as Station Manager he oversaw the launch of the station as a NBC affiliate and its eventual purchase by NBC Television.  Prior to 2000, he worked in sales management positions with KRON in San Francisco and with the Westinghouse and Tribune companies across the country.


Cerussi holds a BA in Social Work from Providence College.  He lives with his wife, Amy, in San Francisco, California.
