Ron Lamprecht

Executive Vice President, Sales Business Development, NBCUniversal Digital Distribution

Ron Lamprecht is Executive Vice President, Sales Business Development for NBCUniversal Digital Distribution. Lamprecht’s responsibilities include overseeing the digital sales and distribution of NBCUniversal's television content across multiple platforms, including wireless, Internet and emerging digital customers. In addition, he supports the TV Networks Distribution team with distributing the company’s cable network and content portfolio to satellite, cable and telco MVPDs.



Lamprecht has executed a number of industry-leading distribution deals on emerging platforms, including Amazon Unbox and Microsoft's Xbox and Zune platforms, as well as leading mobile Web site (WAP) content deals with wireless distributors AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-mobile, Alltel, Nokia and RIM. He oversaw the distribution deals for mobile channels and content on MediaFLO, Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint and MobiTV, played an integral role in the launch and content distribution of Hulu, NBCUniversal's online video joint venture with News Corp.  He also managed the launch of Universal HD, which offers the best of NBCUniversal's library in HD with award-winning series, films, sports and special events.

An industry leader, Lamprecht was selected for Multichannel's "40 under 40" list and TV Week's "Hot List" in 2007.  He first joined NBC in 2000, and has held various Business Development positions at NBCUniversal. Previously, Lamprecht was an electrical engineer.



Lamprecht holds an M.B.A. from NYU’s Stern School of Business, and is a graduate of the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art with a degree in electrical engineering.  He lives in Manhattan with his wife, Susanne, and their children, Julian and Lucia.
