Catherine Dunleavy

Executive Vice President and CFO, Cable Entertainment and Cable Studios, NBCUniversal

Catherine Dunleavy was named Executive Vice President and CFO, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment and Cable Studios in March 2011. Dunleavy oversees the financial performance and strategic analysis of NBCUniversal’s Cable Entertainment properties including USA, Syfy, E! Entertainment, G4, Sleuth, Uni HD, Chiller, Universal Cable Productions and E! production studios. In addition, Dunleavy serves on the board of Valuevision.



Prior to this role, she was EVP and CFO of Cable Entertainment. Dunleavy oversaw the financial performance of NBC Universal’s Cable properties including USA, Syfy, Bravo, Oxygen, Universal HD, Sleuth, Chiller, the Cable Production Studio and cable distribution. She also led the integration planning efforts during the Comcast acquisition of NBCU.



During her tenure as CFO, the cable portfolio has become one of the broadest, most profitable, and fastest growing in television. As part of her role, Dunleavy oversaw the successful acquisition and integration of Oxygen and the Weather channel.



In her prior roles at NBC, Dunleavy was SVP for USA and Syfy, VP of Financial Planning and Analysis and an integral part of the deal team leading to the Universal acquisition.



Before joining NBC, Dunleavy worked for GE’s corporate audit staff where she was promoted to Executive Audit Manager. She joined GE’s Manufacturing Management Program with a degree in electrical engineering and a master’s in environmental engineering.  Dunleavy lives in Larchmont, N.Y. with her husband, Michael, daughter and son.
