Sallie Schoneboom

Senior Vice President, Communications, Syfy

Sallie Schoneboom joined Syfy as Senior Vice President, Communications, in November 2005. She is responsible for the development and execution of all media strategies for the channel's programming, digital initiatives and public affairs outreach. Based in New York, Schoneboom reports to Dave Howe, President, Syfy.



Schoneboom joined Syfy from the ABC Television Network where she served as vice president, media and talent relations for its daytime division. She oversaw the publicity efforts for the network's top-rated daytime line-up and helped launch "The View," the network's most successful show in the time period for over a decade. She also was a key developer of the ABC Super Soap Weekend at Disney-MGM Studios - the biggest interactive fan event of its kind.



Prior to joining ABC, Schoneboom was a media relations supervisor at CBS, where she handled publicity for daytime, late-night and children's programming. She also served as an account executive for Hale and Husted Public Relations, where she was responsible for handling several Procter & Gamble productions. Before launching her television publicity career, she worked as box office and house manager with Olympia Dukakis' Whole Theatre Company.
