CHRISTINE DORFLER NAMED CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER OF NBC OWNED TELEVISION STATIONS

NEW YORK – October 17, 2011 – Christine Dorfler has been named Chief Financial Officer of the NBC Owned Television Stations, starting this week. In her role, Dorfler will have financial oversight for NBC’s 10 owned stations and their various platforms and lead business strategy for the stations around all core financial processes. She will report to Valari Staab, President of the NBC Owned Stations.

“Christine has an exceptional reputation among her peers at our stations for being a leader with strong financial skills and an emphasis on achieving results. She’s also highly regarded as a particularly good manager,” said Staab. “I am thrilled to welcome her to our team and am confident she is the right strategic partner for our stations as we work to increase our position in the markets we serve.”

Dorfler has worked at NBCUniversal for nearly a decade, most recently as Vice President of Finance for NBC 4 New York and Telemundo New York. Previously, she was the Director of Finance for NBCUniversal’s Digital Media Group and also the Director of Programming Finance for the USA Network and SyFy Channel. Additionally, Dorfler served as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for the SyFy Channel. She began her career with NBCUniversal as a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis in NBCUniversal’s Corporate Finance Department. Dorfler joined NBCUniversal from General Electric, where she was a member of the Junior Officer Leadership Program with GE Energy in Schenectady, New York. She also graduated from GE’s Financial Management Program.

A United States Army Veteran who served four years as a Military Intelligence Officer in Europe, Dorfler supported peacekeeping operations in both Bosnia and Albania. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Villanova University and a Masters of Business Administration from Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Christine lives in New Jersey with her husband, Brian, and their three children.
