POWERHOUSE BRAND DUO, BEAR FISHER AND BOB PEDERSON, TO LEAD THE STYLE NETWORK CREATIVE TEAM

LOS ANGELES – November 16, 2011 – NBCUniversal has promoted Bear Fisher to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Brand Strategy and Creative Director for The Style Network. Fisher, who has been with the company for more than ten years, previously served as Senior Vice President, Creative Director for both E! and Style. Joining Style to help lead the new creative team is Bob Pederson as Vice President, On-Air Creative. This powerhouse brand duo will lead all strategic On-Air, Print and Online Design activities for the network. In these new roles, Pederson will report to Fisher who continues to report to Salaam Coleman Smith, President, The Style Network.

As Senior Vice President, Creative Director, E! and The Style Network, Fisher oversaw all creative advertising and promotion for the networks, including on-air promotions and design, as well as print and online advertising. Fisher previously served as Vice President, On-Air Promotions, overseeing the creation of all promotional spots and interstitial programming for E! and Style. In this role, she was instrumental in building some of the networks’ most popular franchises, including E!’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” “Chelsea Lately” and “Live from the Red Carpet” along with Style’s “Ruby,” “Giuliana & Bill” and “Clean House.” Fisher also led several key brand development initiatives for the networks. Prior to joining E! and Style in 2001, Fisher served as Director, On-Air Promotions, FX Networks, where she worked on show launches and network rebrands for FX and Fox Movie Channel.

A leading creative and marketing director, Pederson recently was the Marketing Director for Film Independent where he was charged with overseeing brand and marketing efforts for the organization, including the Los Angeles Film Festival, Independent Spirit Awards and Film Series collaboration with LACMA. Previously, he served 10 years at Comedy Central as Vice President, On-Air then Senior Vice President, Creative Director, On-Air Brand Creative. Pederson oversaw all on-air brand creative and off-air video creative. In addition, he supervised the network broadcast design and cross-channel promotion as well as radio advertising. Before joining Comedy Central, Pederson was Creative Director of On-Air Promotions for Lifetime Television and also served as a Writer/Producer for Disney/ABC Cable Networks and FX Networks.
