Liz Jenkins

Chief Business Officer

Liz Jenkins is the Chief Business Officer for NBCUniversal Studio Group. In this role, she oversees strategy and business operations across the company’s Film and Television Studios. Jenkins drives long-range business strategy to support the Studio’s new unified content hub, bringing together Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (Universal Pictures, Focus Features, DreamWorks Animation) and Universal Studio Group (Universal Television, Universal Content Productions, Universal Television Alternative Studios, Universal International Studios).   

Prior to this role, Jenkins served as Chief Operating Officer at Reese Witherspoon’s multimedia company Hello Sunshine. During her tenure she oversaw finance, business affairs, operations, physical production, and music as well as facilitating the growth of the company’s business, including their content and direct-to-consumer businesses — all of which put women or girls at the center of each narrative. She led the acquisitions of SKR Productions, and the home organization/lifestyle brand The Home Edit, as well as the 2021 sale of Hello Sunshine to Candle Media and subsequent integration efforts. 

Previously, Jenkins served as the Head of Strategic Ventures for Sony PlayStation and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy at Media Rights Capital where she developed and implemented innovative distribution models, strategic partnerships and new businesses across film and television. She began her career at GE, McKinsey, and Credit Suisse. 

As a result of her leadership, she’s been honored on various power lists, including Variety’s Women’s Impact Report, Fast Company’s Queer 50, Variety’s New Leaders, and most recently, Diversity Woman Magazine’s ELITE 100 list.  

With a passion for philanthropy, Jenkins serves as Board Chair for GLAAD and sits on the Executive Committee of Baby2Baby. She also chairs the Audit Committee of Snap Inc. 

Jenkins received her M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and her B.A. from Stanford University.
